You can delete your BetFollow account at any time directly from the app. This page explains how to do it and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the BetFollow app
- Go to the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account will be deleted immediately.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed or anonymized:
- Personal information — email address, display name, nickname, profile photo URL
- Authentication — Firebase account and login credentials
- Social data — all followers, following relationships, and follow requests
- Leaderboard entries — removed from all leaderboard rankings
- Notifications — all notifications deleted
- League preferences — your followed leagues list
- Push notification token — removed, no further notifications will be sent
What Gets Retained (Anonymized)
The following data is retained in anonymized form and cannot be linked back to you:
- Betting sessions — session history with all personal identifiers removed
- Resolved tickets — completed ticket records (anonymized)
- Balance history — transaction audit trail (anonymized)
This anonymized data is retained for platform integrity purposes and cannot be used to identify you.
Pending Tickets
If you have any pending (unresolved) tickets at the time of deletion, they will be automatically cancelled with a 50% stake refund before your account is deleted.
Re-registration
If you sign up again with the same email address, your previous sessions and ticket history will be restored, but your social connections (followers, following) and leaderboard entries will not be recovered. You will need to accept the current terms of service and choose a new nickname.
