Getting Started
What is BetFollow?
BetFollow is a sports prediction game and tracker. You make play predictions on real upcoming football fixtures and watch your performance score grow or shrink based on real match outcomes. There is no real money, no deposits, no withdrawals, and no payouts.
How do monthly challenges work?
Each month is a fresh challenge for tracking your predictions. You get one active month at a time. Your performance across months feeds the leaderboard.
How are scores calculated?
Each play prediction is worth 1 unit. A successful prediction at ×3.6 multiplier gains +2.6u; a failed prediction loses −1u. Your performance score is the cumulative total of all your prediction outcomes.
Play Predictions & Resolution
Why hasn't my play prediction resolved yet?
Play predictions resolve automatically once all fixtures in the prediction are finished and final results are confirmed by our data provider. This usually happens within 2 hours of the last kickoff. If a fixture has not yet finished, we retry shortly. If a fixture is postponed or abandoned, that pick is voided (treated as ×1.0 multiplier) and the rest of the prediction is unaffected.
If a play prediction has been pending for more than 6 hours after the last kickoff, contact us and we'll investigate.
How is the multiplier calculated when I combine multiple picks on the same fixture?
When you combine multiple picks on the same fixture (e.g., "Over 2.5 goals" + "Both teams to score"), we use a statistical model that accounts for correlation between markets. The combined multiplier is usually lower than simple multiplication because correlated outcomes are more likely to occur together. Across different fixtures, multipliers are multiplied normally.
My play prediction shows the wrong result
Final results are sourced from a third-party sports data provider. If you believe a result is incorrect, email us with the play prediction ID and the fixture details, and we'll review it.
Account & Profile
How do I change my nickname?
Open the Settings tab and tap your nickname. Enter a new one and confirm. Nicknames are screened automatically for inappropriate content. If your chosen nickname is rejected and you believe it was a mistake, contact support.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, scroll to Delete Account, and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately. Pending play predictions are cancelled and removed from your record. See the Delete Account page for full details on what gets removed.
Can I get my old account back after deleting it?
Yes. If you sign up again with the same email address you used previously, your monthly challenges and prediction history are restored. Social connections (followers, following) and leaderboard entries are not recovered.
Social Features
How do I follow another user?
Open the Discover or Followers tab, search for a user by nickname, open their profile, and tap Follow. Follows require approval from the user you want to follow. Once approved, you can see their play predictions and get notified when they make new ones.
How do I stop someone from following me?
Open their profile, tap the menu, and choose Block. Blocking removes them as a follower and prevents future follow requests.
AI Features
Why is AI analysis sometimes unavailable?
AI-powered match analysis (news summaries, predicted lineups, match context) has daily usage limits to keep the service sustainable. Most popular fixtures are pre-analyzed in advance, so the analysis is usually ready when you open them. If you see a "paused" message, the on-demand limit has been reached for the day — pre-analyzed content is still available.
Notifications
I'm not receiving push notifications
Check your device settings: Settings → BetFollow → Notifications on iOS, or App info → Notifications on Android. Make sure notifications are allowed. If they are, try logging out and back in to refresh your push token. Still not working? Contact support.
What notifications will I receive?
Prediction results (successful, failed, voided), follow requests and approvals, and activity from users you follow. You can disable any of these from your device settings.
